Møre og Romsdal county council in western Norway has authorised Salfjord, pursuant to the Norwegian salmon permit regulations, to farm salmon on land at the Tjeldbergodden industry park in Aure local authority in the Nordmøre region.
Salfjord is gearing up to develop an impressive aquaculture facility on land in Aure municipality on the Norwegian West coast. A strong interdisciplinary team of directors recruited by the company before securing its operating licence will now lead the way in a key drive to raise capital.
Salfjord has secured a licence to establish one of Norway’s largest land-based fish farms at Tjeldbergodden in Aure municipality on the west coast. With plans calling for fish to enter the first tanks in 2026, the company has already set ambitious goals for biosecurity at the facility.
